“Finishing Things” is a funny thing to write about at the start of a new year.
Because the start of the new year is about… well, starting anew.
But what’s the point of starting something anew IF your m.o. is not sticking with it?
By now you’ve been through enough New Years’ inspirations, affirmations, motivations, proclamations, invocations, declarations, and dedications to know how it ends up going. For you.
For me, staying the course with even the most inspired way forward has proven to be an ongoingly confounding stumbling block in my life.

make friends with…

In short, how to understand and be skillful with it.

1998 me didn’t say what’s in the last panel. 2024 me did.
I had no idea about my nervous system’s role in my challenges back then. Thankfully, somewhere down the road I was exposed to…
- Awareness enhancing tools like Mindfulness Meditation
- Nervous system regulating tools like EFT Tapping
- Subconscious mind rewiring tools like Neuro-Linguistic Programming
And they have been game changers.
Of course we’re all forever works-in-progress, but it sure feels good to be able to place a little more emphasis on ‘progress’ because I’ve figured out how I ‘work’.
